HTV-PermaDoc®

Long-Term Conservation and Storage of important documents and data carriers

HTV-PermaDoc®:

  • Storage of important documents such as manufacturing records and files, as well as sensitive documents and data carriers in a high-security building
  • PermaDoc®PLUS-procedure for an archiving and conservation of documents for many decades using a special storage and protection concept

The HTV-PermaDoc® procedure provides physical protection under optimized storage conditions (e.g., burglary protection, incendiary-preventive atmosphere), as well as protection against possible data abuse, by storing documents and data carriers in a high-security building.

Under the PermaDoc® PLUS procedure the physical and chemical aging processes are additionally reduced by a special conserving and hazardous substance eliminating atmosphere as well as specific storage conditions, following an evaluation of the received documents and data carriers to analyze their state of aging and their storability. Using this globally unique technology, the endogenous aging processes of the stored goods can be inhibited the exogenous aging processes can almost be brought to a standstill. Depending on the initial condition, this allows for conservation and archiving for many decades.

The condition of the stored documents and data carriers is closely monitored and controlled by precise analytics, e.g., XRF (X-ray fluorescence analysis), FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), X-ray analysis, SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy), as well as EDS/EDX (Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy). A regular data check and comparison as well as a copy and transfer to more current data carrier mediums is naturally part of the full service portfolio of the HTV-PermaDoc®PLUS procedure.
